About Me
Hi, I'm Lisa, a Certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (C-SLPA) with more than 10 years of experience helping children and adolescents find their voice and build lasting communication skills. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master of Arts with a specialization in Autism and Severe Intellectual Disabilities, both from the University of South Florida. That background shapes how I support children with autism spectrum disorder, speech and language delays, social communication challenges, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). I also bring a personal perspective to my work. As the mother of a son with autism who is thriving, I know firsthand what families go through—the questions, the hopes, and the joy of every breakthrough. That experience deepens my compassion and drives my commitment to every child I work with. My sessions are individualized, engaging, and built around each child's unique strengths. I create a warm, encouraging space where kids feel safe to grow, take chances, and celebrate progress. Partnering closely with families is central to everything I do, because the best outcomes happen when we work together.
Why Clients Love Working With Me
Families often describe me as empathetic, patient, and genuinely encouraging. I take time to build real trust with both children and their caregivers, because I know that feeling safe makes all the difference in therapy. I keep sessions fun and meaningful so kids stay motivated, and I make sure parents always know what we're working on and why. Whether we're celebrating a big milestone or a small step forward, I'm cheering right alongside your family every step of the way.
