Speech Therapy26

About Me

With more than 26 years of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, I've had the privilege of working with people of all ages — from young children to older adults — across schools, skilled nursing facilities, home health, rehabilitation centers, and teletherapy. That range has given me a deep appreciation for how differently communication challenges can show up at each stage of life. In 2008, I personally went through recovery after brain surgery. That experience changed me. It gave me firsthand insight into how disorienting and emotional it can be to face changes in thinking, memory, and communication. Today, it fuels my passion for cognitive rehabilitation and my commitment to meeting every client with genuine empathy and patience. My clinical focus includes cognitive rehabilitation, memory training, attention and problem-solving skills, and functional communication for everyday life. I use evidence-based strategies tailored to each person's unique strengths and goals. Outside of therapy, I stay grounded through singing, graphic design, hiking, traveling, and Bikram yoga — and I give back to my community through The Links, Incorporated. My goal is simple: to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and confident in your progress — whatever your journey looks like.

Why Clients Love Working With Me

Clients tell me they appreciate that I take time to truly understand them — their goals, their challenges, and what matters most in their daily life. I bring over 26 years of real-world clinical experience, but I also bring something more personal: I've walked a recovery road myself. That shapes how I listen and how I care. Families feel included and equipped to support progress at home, and clients leave sessions feeling stronger and more capable. Therapy with me is collaborative, encouraging, and always built around you.
