About Me
Hi, I'm Lorie, an Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of experience working with people across the lifespan. I spent the first decade of my career in skilled nursing, subacute rehab, and outpatient settings, where I built strong expertise in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury, dementia care, shoulder and hand rehabilitation, and post-surgical orthopedic recovery. A few years before the pandemic, I made the exciting shift to school-based OT, where I developed skills in handwriting intervention and fine motor development, and had the privilege of supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and a range of other learning and behavioral needs. When COVID moved my work online, I discovered that I genuinely love teletherapy — the flexibility it offers clients and the creative problem-solving it requires brought out the best in me as a clinician. I now get to do what I love most: work with a wide range of people, draw on everything I've learned, and keep growing every day. Whether you're recovering from an injury, building a new skill, or working through a challenge, I'm here to meet you where you are and help you move forward.
Why Clients Love Working With Me
I think good therapy starts with really listening. I take time to understand what matters most to you and build a plan around your actual life and goals — not a one-size-fits-all approach. My background spans pediatric, adult, and older adult care, so I bring a broad perspective to every session. Clients tell me they appreciate that I'm straightforward, encouraging, and genuinely invested in their progress. I especially enjoy the teletherapy format because it lets me reach people who might otherwise struggle to access consistent care.
