About Me

I'm Kimberly, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with more than 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Before becoming an SLP, I spent years as an X-ray, CT, and MRI Technologist — and that background gives me a unique, science-grounded perspective on how the brain learns and changes over time. I find neuroplasticity, the brain's remarkable ability to adapt, truly fascinating, and it shapes how I approach every client's care. I'm also certified as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist, which allows me to support individuals who struggle with reading and language processing using proven, research-backed methods. I work with clients across a wide range of communication and speech needs, always tailoring my approach to the individual. Outside of the clinic, I love exploring Florida with my husband and son — those adventures remind me every day how much communication and connection matter in real life.

I take a holistic approach to speech therapy to support the whole person, with a focus on using positive reinforcements to build upon the client's strengths. I frequently will have clients and families contact me, even years after working with them, for information on up-to-date evidence-based practices, since I work hard to stay informed on current research. Also, while I focus on functional skills , I also remember to add “fun” to the sessions as I personalize it to the client's interests.
