About Me

As a dedicated and ambitious speech-language pathologist since 2010, I have a passion for empowering children and adults to surmount communication obstacles and ascend to her peak- communication potential. I have practiced in public, private, and religious grade schools and high schools, skilled nursing facilities, private clinics, and hospital-affiliated pediatric clinics, including Texas Children's Sugarland Specialty Care Center from April 2024-2026. With a strong desire to serve communities abroad, I have volunteered alongside medical students, physicians, dentists, and other health professionals during a medical mission trips to the Galapagos Islands in 2025 and to the Philippines in 2026 and participated in a 26-day speech-language therapy Spanish immersion program in Costa Rica in 2017. I have ample experience treating teenagers and young adults with cognitive-linguistic and social communication challenges impacted by an acquired brain injury, autism spectrum disorder, non-verbal learning disability, developmental trauma, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Strongly committed to incorporating hands-on and real-world activities into treatment plans, I endeavor to empower clients to capitalize upon their communicative and cognitive-linguistic strengths to fully access and actively participate in social, religious, community, and vocational activities. With a lifelong love of animals, I volunteered as an animal handler and docent, have volunteered abroad at wildlife organizations (including the Belize Zoo), and have integrated animal-assisted therapy into my practice with my pet blue-tongue skink. I have participated in a mentorship through the SOS Approach to Feeding, obtained a certification through the Academy of Oral-facial Myofunctional Disorders, and am currently pursuing a clinical doctorate degree in speech-language pathology through NOVA Southeastern University.
