The program’s published list of eligible expenses includes fees for educational therapies or services from an approved provider, as long as those therapies are not covered by a government benefit (such as Medicaid or CHIP) or by private insurance the child is enrolled in at the time of service.

Does All Care provide online speech therapy in Texas?

Yes. Texas-licensed speech-language pathologists deliver live, one-on-one teletherapy sessions to families across the state. In-person care may also be available depending on your location and therapist availability.

Online sessions can usually be scheduled within about two weeks, depending on therapist availability. In-person openings are limited and the wait can be considerably longer, so many Texas families start online.

Online therapy is not the right fit for every child or every goal. Our intake team will help you decide which format makes sense.

Can TEFA cover occupational or physical therapy?

Occupational and physical therapy fall under the same “educational therapies” category in the program’s eligible-expense guidance, subject to the same conditions: the service must come from an approved provider and must not already be covered by a government benefit or by the child’s private insurance.

Final eligibility decisions rest with the program.

What happens if insurance covers my child’s therapy?

Program guidance excludes therapies that are covered by private insurance the child is enrolled in at the time of service, as well as therapies covered by Medicaid or CHIP. If your child’s therapy is already covered, TEFA funds generally may not be used for it.
